The primary goal of professional supervision is to promote enablement and empowerment of the client. It is to protect the client’s interests and to support and enhance competent, confidant and ethical nursing and health care practice.

The practitioner is able to explore complex, stressful, ethical, challenging or concerning aspects of their practice in a safe environment.
